Cascina Bongiovanni is a family farm founded in 1950 by Giovanni Bongiovanni, grandfather of the current owner Davide Mozzone, who, with his wife Marina and children Luca and Sara, take care of the entire production and commercial chain.
On our agricultural estate we produce grapes, select them and transform them into wine. The management of the vineyards is carried out mainly with manual operations, with the utmost respect for the environment. The love for the land, commitment and passion stimulate us to pursue paths that we always believe are better and improvable; with customer satisfaction as the final result. Quality is our priority; we want to arrive at it, with ecological, ethical, clear and sincere principles.

PRODUCTS

Barolo Pernanno DOCG

This is our CRU ‘PERNANNO’. It is located in Castiglione Falletto on the slope facing Serralunga d’Alba. This was the first vineyard bought and planted by our grandfather Giovanni Bongiovanni, in 1950. This shows how much our family already believed in the potential of Nebbiolo.
The perfect exposure, its terroir, and the care we dedicate to the vineyard give this Barolo a
complexity of aromas, a perfect balance between volume and elegance, and a guarantee of its longevity. It is the wine that identifies our estate. Thanks to its marked structure, it finds its ideal combination with red meat dishes of all kinds, game and mature chees.

Barolo DOCG

The Nebbiolo grapes for this Barolo, come from three different vineyards, Serralunga d’Alba, Castiglione Falletto and Diano d’Alba, for a total of about 2 hectares. The harvested grapes are pressed and fermented in a single mass.
The provenance of different vineyards, has the aim of bringing colour, aromaticity and taste characteristics in the most complete way possible. This Barolo, would like to please all palates, those particularly attentive to delicacy and finesse, while not disappointing those who are particularly fascinated by structure and volume. It goes well with first courses with meat sauces, white and red meats and medium and long matured cheeses

Langhe Nebbiolo DOC

This wine is produced with Nebbiolo grapes from 3 vineyards: Roddino, Castiglione
Falletto and Diano d’Alba, for a total of about 0.8 hectares. The grapes are vinified together to capture the different characteristics of each vineyard, which make this wine complex in aroma, elegant on the palate. In summer it is very pleasant when served chilled as an aperitif. Recommended dishes: important hors d’oeuvres, pasta dishes with meat sauces, medium-aged cheeses

Barbera d'Alba DOC

The vineyards that produce the Barbera grapes for this wine are located in Diano d’Alba and Monforte d’Alba. The total surface area is about two hectares. Different exposures and soils give this wine complexity and the ability to evolve over time.
After an ageing period of 12 months in wood, the wine is ready for the course of
improvement in the bottle. Its special, full-bodied structure helps to impart softness
that is well integrated with alcohol and acidity. An ideal accompaniment to all courses of typical Piedmontese cuisine.

Langhe Arneis DOC

 This wine is produced with Arneis grapes from 2 vineyards. One in San Pietro di Govone, the other in Diano d’Alba, for a total area of about 2 hectares. Grapes are selected and harvested separately; during fermentation, they are blended.
The different origin of the grapes gives the wine a more complex and broader character. To be paired with appetizers, savouries if consumed as an aperitif. Excellent with hors d’oeuvres in general, especially fish.
