In 1979 the Segafredo family, known for its long tradition in the sector, founded the Essse Caffè brand in Bologna.
The choice to write Essse with three Ss is not accidental. These S’s for Science, Wisdom, Specialization: three values that summarize a company philosophy based on experience and oriented towards innovation, through the consistency of coffee blends and the search for the best organoleptic quality. With the aim of always offering a high quality product. For this reason we have made use, from the beginning, of the scientific expertise of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Universities of Bologna, with which we still collaborate. In over 40 years of activity, we have acquired a position of primary authority in the world of coffee, with knowledge ranging from raw coffee to cup coffee, from roasting to packaging, from professional equipment to espresso coffee extraction.
